For me Never A Dull Moment – A Father’s Story has been a labor of love. I find the story compelling. Yes, it is my story, or better, the story of my relationship with my eldest son as he grew to adulthood. The story starts with me as a young father who had no idea how the birth of a child could and would change me forever. Little did I know how much this child would challenge everything I thought I knew, and in the most creative ways! Over time, I’ve found my story has many universal themes shared by most parents. Often were the times I thought, “I can’t deal with this child any longer, he’s going to be the death of me!” Have you ever felt that? Then this book is for you!

Once, after a particularly difficult day of dealing with my hyperactive, attention demanding young son, I remember communicating my frustration in prayer, “Father, this child is going to be the death of me.” I sighed and then continued, “I have no idea what to do with him. Why did you send him to me?”

The immediacy of the response to my question startled me. “He asked you to be his father…” the Voice pierced my soul, “…and you were humbled that one so noble would make such a request.” The Voice then continued, “Your response was, ‘It would be my honor and privilege to be your father!’”. The emotion that swept over me as I received this unexpected answer to my prayer changed me and how I viewed my child of perpetual motion. I was the one who needed to change.
